Scripture:

Devotion:

When we come to Christ, we trust in the power of His blood to wash away our sins. We believe that the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross was enough to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. But have we considered that the same blood that washes us also empowers us?

Too often, believers rejoice in their salvation but struggle with sin as if they are still powerless. The truth is, if we trust the blood of Jesus to cleanse us, we must also trust it to strengthen us to resist sin. His blood not only removes the guilt of our past but also gives us victory over the temptations of today.

Revelation 12:11 declares, “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” This verse reminds us that the blood of Jesus is not just for forgiveness, it is for victory! Through Christ’s sacrifice, we have been given the power to overcome sin.

When temptation arises, we don’t have to rely on our own strength. Instead, we declare:

• “I am washed in the blood of Jesus!”
• “I am no longer a slave to sin!”
• “The same power that saved me is the same power that keeps me!”

Sin’s grip was broken at the cross. The Holy Spirit now dwells within us, enabling us to walk in righteousness. We are not just forgiven; we are transformed. We are not just cleansed; we are empowered.

Reflection:
Are you trusting in the blood of Jesus only for forgiveness, or are you also trusting it for victory? Today, walk in the confidence that His blood has not only cleansed you but also empowered you to resist sin!

Prayer:
Father, I thank You for the blood of Jesus that not only washes away my sin but also gives me the power to walk in victory. Help me to trust in Your strength, not my own. When temptation comes, remind me that I am covered, empowered, and victorious through the blood of Christ.
