Scripture:

“Love never fails.” – 1 Corinthians 13:8 (NIV)

Devotion:

Life can be hard on the heart. People fail us, relationships fall apart, and love can sometimes feel like a battle rather than a blessing. Maybe you’ve experienced betrayal, rejection, or disappointment, and now you wonder if love is even worth it. But let me remind you, true love, the love of God, never fails.

The enemy wants you to believe that love is too costly, too risky, and too fragile to hold onto. He wants to plant seeds of bitterness, fear, and doubt. But God calls us to love anyway, to keep believing in its power, and to trust that love, His love, always wins.

When Jesus went to the cross, it looked like love had lost. He was mocked, beaten, and crucified. Yet, through His sacrifice, He proved that love is stronger than hate, stronger than sin, and stronger than the grave. The empty tomb is the ultimate evidence that love always wins.

You may be in a season where love feels like an uphill climb. Maybe someone you love has hurt you. Maybe your prayers for reconciliation seem unanswered. Maybe you feel unseen, unloved, or unworthy. But hold on, love is still at work. God is still writing your story. Love is patient, and love never gives up.

Reflection:

  • Are you tempted to give up on love in any area of your life?
  • How can you trust God’s love more fully today?
  • Who in your life needs to be reminded that love never fails?

Prayer:

Father, thank You for never giving up on me. Your love is constant, unshaken, and victorious. Help me to trust in the power of love even when it feels difficult. Give me the strength to love as You love, without fear, without limits, and without conditions. Remind me that love always wins, because You are love.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
